We all buy deodorants and antipersipirants for our well being,
Actually, chemicals can causes breast cancer, allergies, and irritations. From my experience, I had muscles irritations below my armpits, after many uses of them. Plus, it started to stimulates my sweat glandes, which provocates more transpiration.
Enough is enough... I needed something that really works.
I know that sweating isn't bad for me, and unless it's in excess and indicative of a larger problem, I don't want to eliminate it entirely. Sweating serves the very utilitarian purpose of cooling your body down, but you can manage your sweating so that it doesn't happen at inappropriate times. Deodorant covers up the smell, or eliminates it entirely, while not getting rid of the moisture itself.
I made my "homework" and I found out that Alum is a deodorant, and can be used for controlling body odor :
"Rub an alum stone on the area emitting the odor. Alum is a mineral that contains properties that can help to fight the bacteria that create body odor."
It didn't worked at first, but here is what I forgot. I used it without massaging my armpits the right way, and also I didn't put any essential oil on it.
So, here is the right way to to use it:
Put your alum stone in the water and add two drops of Palmarosa oil on it. Rub it on your armpits much in the same way that you would apply deodorant, for 10 seconds.
- Alum and Palmarosa don't block the transpiration, but it does neutralize all the bacterias responsables of bad odors.
- A great deodorant works with a great hygiene. If you are sweating, consider washing the stone after you have applied it to your skin.
You can also use tea tree, rockrose, mint, clary sage essentials oils. If you don't want to rub it on your skin, mix any essentials oils that you love with an organic body cream, and massage your armpits.
* make sure that you have no allergies to any of these essentials oils.
* don't use it during pregnancy.
* Always buy organic products, and check the ingredients.
